CONSTRUCTION:

The base of the outfit was made from a black dress. The dress was cut into panels on the bottom, and lined with craft foam painted gold. A maroon top was cut and brown sleeves and red cuffs were sewn to it. The pants were regular maroon sweat pants, stuffed into maroon boots. Black socks covered the shoes, to change their color. Craft foam was used to make the belt buckle (a bought gold belt was used as the base) and craft foam was also used for the knee guards. 

The entire breastplate armor and shoulder pauldrons are all one attached set. It's all layers of craft foam, sealed and painted accordingly.
