We are currently hiring for 3 different positions for both our cafe events (Starfall After Dark, and the Anime Husbando Cafe) during Anime Expo Chibi Weekend (November 7th - 9th). You may apply for all 3 positions, but you will only be chosen for one. All staff will be responsible for their own travel and lodging to and during the convention.

Compensation: $18.00/hour + tips/gratuity + badge compensation.

server

Servers are responsible for taking and delivering food and beverage orders. They will be required to oversee multiple tables and interact with our cashless POS system and our kitchen staff. During block turnover, servers will be expected to bus and reset tables. This role requires physical standing and moving for up to 5 hrs, depending on their shift. 

Kitchen staff

Kitchen staff are responsible for the assembly of our menu items, including drinks and food.
They will be thoroughly trained on how to do so before the event. This role will not have direct interaction with the cafe or customers, as they will be working in an adjoining room. They will need to interact closely with servers and stay knowledgable about stock levels. During block turnover, kitchen staff will be expected to move stock and reset prep area. This role requires physical standing and moving for up to 5 hrs, depending on their shift. 

Host/Check-in table

UPDATE: Applications for the Hosts / Check-in role are now closed due to the high number of submissions, and we kindly invite interested applicants to consider our other open positions instead.

Hosts/Registration table staff are responsible for managing our customer RSVPs and seating guests. They will be outside the cafe doors at all times, organizing each hour slot and arranging any day-of sales. Heavy interaction with our cashless POS system will be required as well as management of tier reward redeeming. During block turnover, hosts will be expected to filter customers to exits. This role will be seated.

All auditions and applications close on October 3rd.
